Memorial Day Blitz

We had yet another Memorial Day boat bash!  Thanks to Anthony's dad and step-dad, we were set with two great boats and then Chuck was able to get the Whaler going, and eventually caught up. With a couple of years experience, we finally had enough rafts to hang out on, and one of the dogs even found its comfort zone.

Nathan and Ben came into town to help us celebrate.  Caroline was also in town, so she joined in the fun!... doesn't look like anybody was having a horrible time.
Somehow, Anthony managed a smile (no teeth of course), but none the less, a great picture of us.  Mary and Charlie are posing in the background too!

These were the three boats we managed to use for our weekend festivities... they lined up quite nicely after the third attempt of the day.
Finally, I'd like you to meet, Atticus; quite possibly the laziest Labrador Retriever you've ever seen... his mom will defend him and say "well he did swim a lot too!"  He remained in this position, tied to the boat, floating for almost 2 hours!!!

We had a great time, and finished the evening at Creekside, where Ben serenaded us with a great version of "Sweet Home Alabama" to nothing more then a set of bongo drums!  For those of you who were not there, you sure missed a wonderful treat!  Surprisingly enough, dinner was not on the house.

Great weekend...

It was another great weekend. Kerry and Ben were in town, so we did lots of hangin' out, drinking good beer, eating good food, and having late nights with entertaining conversations. Kerry captured some great moments of Friday night... and after reviewing the pictures, I've decided I need to start a section of my blog that only includes all of the crazy people in St Augustine (not including ourselves) ... here is a picture of the latest and greatest... they are a part of club called, "Three Sheets to the Wind"... wonder what they do when they get together?

We spent most of Sunday moving things around our house. We have two bedrooms, and we decided to move our stuff into the back bedroom... just to really mess with our friends of course. Although, I think it has confused me more... seeing as, I had all of my hanging clothes in the back bedroom but my dresser drawers were in the front bedroom, so as you can imagine, I spent most of my mornings walking around in circles trying to get dressed, but now everything is actually in the same room! It will take time, but I'm sure I will figure it out.

We finished our weekend out with an early mother's day dinner for Linda... a great dinner, brought to us by Gypsy Cab Co. While we were there picking up dinner, we found out that Michael Winslow will be performing at their comedy club - he's the man of 10,000 sound effects, you may also remember his stellar performances in Police Academy and the Geico commercial. Anyway, that may be the way we celebrate our birthdays together... we hear he's a great performer. That about covers the weekend...

my new favorite member of the family.

As I mentioned before, I love our ROOMBA! The first time I used it, I realized that you do have to follow it around the house to make sure that it doesn't carry around things you don't want it to... i.e. yarn, shoes/shoelaces, and dog bowls. With that in mind, I realized that I could pick up the first couple of items but the dog bowls had to stay... or else Parker would be a lot skinnier, so Anthony and I created a dog bowl holder that mounts to the wall. Most dog-owners have bought these dog bowl holders so that their dogs don't have to strain their neck to eat their food... where as, I have built a dog bowl holder so that my Roomba can vacuum underneath of the bowls without scooting them all over the house! ha ha. Check it out... it looks pretty good, Parker seems to like it just fine and the Roomba gets the job done.

Off to a great weekend, Ben P and Kerry will be in town tonight; so we're looking forward to a good night on the town, and then maybe off for a bike ride tomorrow. The weather looks like it will be very enjoyable! I'm sure there will be pictures to come. Stay tuned...
